four baptist missionaries were in Iraq working on a water purification project - I don't know if anyone remembers this, but in the early weeks of the invasion, when water service was disrupted in Basra, stories were coming out of Iraq that Christian missionaries had water trucks brought in and stationed on the outskirts of the city, and were offering potable water to Iraqi's who would agree to be baptized as Christians. Evidently, this "program" was conducted under the auspices of Franklin Graham, son of Billy Graham, who was provided with the necessary credentials and allowed to cross into Iraq via Kuwait, and that Graham had openly stated that his visa application was being prepared for just such a purpose. This operation was given the green light by the Bush regime just weeks before the invasion was scheduled to begin, with the "special bond" that Chimpy has with Billy Graham being credited for its approval.
Now, I ask you, IF this is true (and I've heard of no retractions or issued statements stating otherwise), wouldn't this "program" validate every concern that the Muslim world has about this "liberation" being nothing more than a front for a New Crusade in the regions of the Chrisitian Holy Land?
Somebody please respond....DW
