Tonight, I was asked to run as a Kerry delegate. I have been a staunch DeanDemocrat and will remain so. However, if I were to go to the convention, it would be as a Kerry delegate as there will be no uncommitted delegates selected from my state. If I were to decide to run and I won, I WOULD vote for Kerry - absolutely - because this is what reality dictates and it far more important to BEAT SHRUBYA.
The logic for my running of course, is to keep the Dean message alive and to influence the policies as they will be put forth in Kerry's agenda.
My question? Have any of you been delegates and therefore can tell me, firsthand, what the experience was like? And...what process do the delegates follow at the convention?
I'd appreciate your comments as I have less than 48 hours to decide.
Thanks.
