I know, I could have come up with a better diary title, but since my earlier one was still on the "first 10" page, I decided to amuse myself.
Has anyone heard anything about this yet?
Zimbabwe is informally accusing us of sending mercs to their country? No formal accusations yet, and no direct lines of evidence yet, but investigations will undoubtedly be made. And since Bush didn't appoint the investigators, they might actually turn up something.
To quote Reuters (is this legal?):
"President Robert Mugabe has been in a war of words with the United States and Britain, which have accused him of a political crackdown following his victory in 2002 presidential elections which the opposition and Western observers said were flawed.
"Mugabe accuses Western powers of attempting to undermine his government in retaliation for his controversial seizure of white-owned farms for distribution to landless blacks. "
So um . . . how does this stack with Aristide's accusations? What's the potential for this to be used as ammo against Bush Foreign Policy? Can this go anywhere? Discuss, by damn!
