Bush visit not popular in the polls
George Bush may bring the beer, but he will still not be a popular visitor to these shores when he arrives in May.
The US President was the topic of a village poll held by Bunnanadden shop-owner John Leamy last week.
Mr Leamy asked customers whether they were in favour of the visit to Ireland of George W. Bush.
And the result speaks volumes for the feelings of many people all over Ireland. Of the 98 people who took part, 80 said they were not in favour of the visit.
Only 13 said they would welcome Bush to Ireland while the remaining five said they were unsure.
The President's arrival in Ireland has already run into controversy over the security presence he will bring with him.
