This is the second time I've heard a member of the administration suggest that release of more abuse photos is a bad idea:

While I can see a case for there being no gain to releasing disturbing photos, the prejudging trials case seems weak to me. Wouldn't the photos be released in a military tribunal? Why exactly does this affect the outcome of trials?
This is not as absurd as the Bush claim that anonymous flag draped coffin photos are a violation of privacy, but the administration should just admit that they don't think the public deserves information instead of hiding their deisre to hide behind a veil of fallacy.
