So I'm bored and checking my email when I come across the above website that claims that foreign outsourcing is totally overblown. The BLS claims that advertisement "Just 2% of layoffs attributable to shipment of employment overseas" and that 4,633 jobs were foreign outsourced from January to March.
I find that a little hard to believe. My spouse's one little plant of around a hundred people laid off 80 people (in January 2004) and sent the work to India and Ireland. 80/4633 = 1.73% In fact I find it impossible to believe that his little dinky plant was responsible for almost two percent of the foreign outsourcing in the entire USA.
