If you're looking for something to do today, head over to the Clearwater festival in Croton. In recent years, the weather has been horrendous, but this weekend has been beautiful. The music is the main attraction (see clearwater.org for a schedule), with such talents as Ani DiFranco, Dan Zanes, and the legendary Pete Seeger on today's schedule. But there are plenty of opportunities for political (particularly but not exclusively environmental) activism and meeting like-minded folks. The food and crafts are excellent, and you can take trips on the Hudson as well.
Yesterday's highlights included good family-friendly sets by the aforementioned Zanes, Dar Williams, and many others. I was thrilled to see Pete Seeger sing "Waist Deep in the Big Muddy," as I thought his voice was too far gone to sing any more. Hope to see you there today!
(I am not associated with the festival in any way, except as a semiregular attendee.)
