I am probably way behind the game here, but I have been fooling around with the money map at fundrace ...

Factoring the gap in the amount of money raised by each party, I think this looks good for LA. The major metropolitan areas of Baton Rouge and Lafayette and the region Northeast of the lake have raised more money for the Dems. The regions directly surrounding the lake are pink, but you have to keep in mind that these areas have large, extremely poor populations living right along side decent sized wealthy populations. It seems that everyone in New Orleans is broke or flush these days.
Doing the breakdown by county looks better for New Orleans and worse for Baton Rouge. The state map shows us as neutral.
I have to say "great job" too all the folks in Pensacola. That is a very family friendly region in Florida and it is nice to see a patch of blue in all that red.
I will say it again - my mantra - LA will hinge on turnout.
Caveat - the disclaimer says that the map may lag FEC filings by a month. That could be good news as Bush's numbers dive.
I would be interested in everyone's take on their own regions. Anyone know what is up with those deep blue regions in North and South Dakota? Are all the Dems cordoned off?
