Finally, the crabs have their Lorax. On a mellow day, his screeds against affirmative action out-uncle even Uncle Clarence Thomas and yet Alan Keyes has no qualms about being paid to be a black man designated not to win this election but to damage another black man's future prospects. Well, what would the
crab-bucket syndrome be without a little Maryland crab? Did I mention that Keyes drew a $9,000/month salary from his campaign contributions when he ran for president last time? And that he owes $500k to vendors who aren't pressing him to repay. Just a coincidence that the vendors are mostly right wing political consultants and advertising shops.
The choice of Keyes was so bad that the editorials pretty much write themselves. Sort of like shooting crabs in a... Well never mind. Props to the LA Times though for the single best line on Keyes: Winner of "this latest round of pick-the-loser-to-Obama."
