Story a friend heard on CBC-Winnipeg radio this afternoon:
First Unitarian Church of Winnipeg is conducting a drive to register and get absentee ballots for November election for Americans living in Winnipeg. They estimate that there are 4,000 to 8,000 in Winnipeg alone.
Similar drives are being mounted in other major Canadian cities. This has never been done before in the speakers memory (34 years in Canada), but he and friends felt like they had to do something to get rid of Bush, and this might make a difference. They will register anyone, regardless of who they plan to vote for, but they expect most Americans who live in Canada will be
no fans of Bush.
I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing doesn't happen in Europe as well.
Bush is toast.
