OK, I need some advice here. Should I rat this guy out? If so, to whom? Or should I keep my yap shut?
I didn't mean to be eavesdropping. However, I was on the other side of a partition when I overheard a conversation. What I heard was a county-level Democratic elected official talking with an area Republican activist. Although I didn't catch all of the details, what was clear is that this Democratic politician is supporting Bush. This is someone who has been a long time "player" in area politics. It was also clearly meant to be a private/confidential conversation, they certainly didn't realize anyone was within 5 feet of them.
Should I just let it go? Should I pass this fact on to people on party committees? Should I speak to him privately? (Note, he and I are acquainted, but I wouldn't say that we really know each other.) Is there some other course of action that would be appropriate?
There's one other point that bears noting. He is in a position to make my work/business life quite uncomfortable if he were to take umbrage with me.
Thanks in advance for your input. And take the poll!
