Ok, first off I think Kerry's in a relatively good position. The national numbers are essentially tied, but I think many of the fundamentals are going Kerry's way. Bush may get a small bounce out of the convention, but it will be short-lived.
But let's face it, this election will be decided by the debates. The vast majority of the undecided voters make up their minds after watching the debates. It's the key source of information for many voters, as sad as that is. Frankly, I think that's why Gore lost the election; the media portrayal (unfairly, I think) that he had done poorly in the debates killed him.
So how will this year's debates go? I know many of us think Kerry will win the debates easily, but I have my doubts. Kerry not only has to deliver a good performance, he also has to combat Bush's blatant lies, and a media that will pounce on any Kerry mistake. The media's the real enemy, in my opinion. So what does everyone else out there think? See the poll!
