Am I the only one wondering if anyone is ever going to take responsibility for Abu Ghraib? Anyone above the rank of private? Back in May, Rumsfeld said the alleged abuse of Iraqi prisoners at the prison in Iraq "occurred on my watch, and as secretary of defense I am accountable for them, and I take full responsibility."
So, just what did that mean to Mr. Rumsfeld? Did it mean that he would be lead off crying and in handcuffs, like
this poor sap?
Apparently not. For the Chickenhawks, it seems to be enough to just say it. What we need from Rumsfeld is some remorse, some sense that he gives a shit what the rest of the world thinks of our great nation. That he cares what happens to our soldiers when they're taken prisoner. Some idea that he has more than a cold, dark lump of coal for a heart.
Two words: war criminal.
