I was walking towards Kenmore Square last night at 6:15 or so and wondering where I might grab a snack. People were streaming out of the T and heading up to Fenway, so I sez to meself, I sez, "Let's just go up to Fenway and get us a cholesterol stick with lots of greazy onions and peppers from one of the street vendors." So I did.
As soon as I got the dog-bomb, it started to rain.
It was a light rain, barely enough to make you look for cover. But I stepped into the lee of the ballpark to finish my stand-up supper.
It was still spritzing a little as I headed back down towards Kenmore Square. As I crossed the Pike I glanced up, and what did I see in the sky but a beautiful rainbow.
It ended right above the the right-field bleechers.
Red Sox beat Tampa Bay last night, 11-4. Curt Schilling became first in the majors to win 20 games. They're heading down to New York today for a three-game series with (who else?) the Yankees.
Go Sox!
