This campaign seems to be picking up momentum everyday.
Today ought to be another good day...
It started out great for me when I saw this a letter in the News-Leader written by a citizen of SW Missouri: It REALLY hammers Roy Blunt for spending his time sucking up to corporate interests in NY while he could be back here debating Jim Newberry... and it uses 'Bill Moyers NOW' on PBS as resource.
AWESOME!
It will only get better...
Later today, Missouri Lt. Governor Joe Maxwell will officially endorse Jim Newberry, Democratic Nominee for Missouri's Seventh Congressional Seat. The endorsement will take place at the Jim
Newberry for Congress for Campaign Headquarters
Lt. Governor Maxwell, one of Missouri's most beloved leaders, has served as Lt. Governor since 2000 when he defeated Wendell Bailey.
Also at the event, Newberry will discuss how the people of Southwest Missouri have been hurt by the new Medicare Prescription Drug
Improvement and Modernization Act of 2003.
Then, Newberry will move on to a "Straight talk with Jim" town hall meeting in Joplin this evening.
We've been getting more press in the last month than the last MO-7 Democratic Congressional candidate got during the whole cycle in 2002.
I will keep you posted.
