Once again,
SurveyUSA is full of crap. This time, in Maryland.
According to their recent poll of Maryland voters, Kerry and Bush are tied. Again, George "Purge 'Em" Bush has apparently tripled his support among black voters since
2000:
Overall White Black
Exit SUSA Exit SUSA Exit SUSA
Bush 40% 48% 51% 61% 7% 21%
Democrat 57% 48% 46% 36% 92% 75%
SurveyUSA showed similar results in their recent poll of Georgia voters. Again, George "Affirmative 'Heh' Access" Bush has apparently tripled his support among black voters since 2000:
Overall White Black
Exit SUSA Exit SUSA Exit SUSA
Bush 55% 58% 71% 73% 7% 19%
Democrat 43% 38% 26% 24% 92% 77%
(Johnny Isakson, the Republican Senate candidate, did even better against Denise Majette - Georgia's first woman and first black general election Senate candidate.)
SurveyUSA showed similar results in their recent poll of Florida voters. George "N Double A C Who?" Bush has apparently almost tripled his support among black voters since 2000:
Overall White Black
Exit SUSA Exit SUSA Exit SUSA
Bush 49% 51% 57% 56% 7% 18%
Democrat 49% 45% 40% 41% 93% 75%
SurveyUSA showed similar results in their recent poll of Texas voters, too. George "But I have Colin and Condi!" Bush has more than tripled his support among black voters since 2000:
Overall White Black
Exit SUSA Exit SUSA Exit SUSA
Bush 59% 58% 73% 71% 5% 18%
Democrat 38% 37% 24% 26% 91% 75%
Then, there's SurveyUSA's poll of Virginia. In that poll, George "I Ran Out Of Snark" Bush only almost doubled his support among black voters since 2000:
Overall White Black
Exit SUSA Exit SUSA Exit SUSA
Bush 52% 49% 37% 53% 14% 22%
Democrat 45% 45% 60% 42% 84% 74%
You know, it's entirely possible that the comparatively strong results for Bush among black voters is nothing more than sampling error. It's also possible that Bush is simply that strong among black voters.
But if you ask me, SurveyUSA's methodology is completely fucked, at least with respect to black voters south of Pennsylvania and east of New Mexico. As a result, any result from SurveyUSA in the South is completely fucked. Don't trust them. Don't base your contribution decisions on them. They're utter crap.
