I'd like to thank everyone who recommended this diary and helped to get it well positioned and well read. I'd also like to thank all those who contributed ways in which we can all get involved. This time I have two requests: 1) Please recommend this one to get it similarly well positioned and 2) please keep replys limited to other ways in which people can get involved in the movement to register voters and get out the vote. While debating the issues and polls is great, I'd like to keep this diary limited to volunteer efforts. And a side note to Markos: while your nags for financial support are helpful and welcome, with just one month left until the election, could you add volunteerism to your nagging?
So here is the diary revised. I've compiled all the relevant information in one easy to read package and eliminated all the comments that are not directly related to things we can all do.
First the links I started with:
You can sign up at the Kerry web-site. The link is http://volunteer.johnkerry.com/profile/new/
You can sign up at Move-On. The link is http://www.moveon.org/keepmeposted/volunteer.html
You can sign up at American Coming Together. The link is http://actforvictory.org/act.php/home/static/volunteer_form
There are many ways to help from hitting the streets to sitting on your couch with your phone and laptop.

Mexicana was kind enough to add direct links to MoveOn's Leave No Voter Behind project:
I want to point out that the Leave no Voter Behind project by MoveOn is underway. Here are the active links for volunteering:

Then DC Democrat chipped in this opportunity for folks in the DC, MD, VA, PA area:

DCDanny was also kind enough to add young volunteers to the mix with this one:
If you are under 35 and live near Ohio, Minnesota, Oregon, or Nevada check out the 21st Century Democrats Young Voter Project field program. http://21stcenturydems.org/index.php?src=gendocs&link=youngvoter.cfm&category=About%20Us
It's one of the most fun and effective ways you can volunteer. They've identified over 100,000 Kerry supporters, most of them potential first-time voters -- and are following up with a huge GOTV push.
The Young Voter Alliance (http://www.youngvoteralliance.org) needs volunteers in Florida, Pennsylvania, and a couple other states, too.
Cameron Corda, ACT's webmaster, added the following:
I can't speak for the other organizations you listed, but if you really want to volunteer, call one of our offices. http://actforvictory.org/act.php/home/offices/
Also, ACT Here, our volunteer center has local events you can find, and a letter writing tool you can use when you can't make it into a state. http://acthere.com/ .
Hollywood Liberal offered up a way we can try to keep the election honest:

There's another thread to check out from MonkeyBoy. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2004/9/29/212751/322. There will be a rapid response to the media after tonight's debate. You can read MonkeyBoy's thread or go right to the Kerry web site to sign on. I did. http://www.johnkerry.com/signup/mediacorps.php
