It seems that every cause has its own ribbon these days. But as I searched around looking for an appropriate way to express grief and solidarity for victims of terrorism in England, it seems that there is no universal symbol for the innocent victims of political violence.
What do you think would be an appropriate symbol of all the victims of terrorist violence, be they in the twin towers, the London tubes, Madrid trains, or the streets of Fallujah? I don't ask that you constrain responses to various colors and conformations of little ribbons or silcone bracelets, but these seem to have become a common means of expression, so we might as well play along.
Who knows, if this little diary gets enough response, maybe Kossacks will set a new symbolic standard that expresses the solidarity the people of world feel toward terrorism victims.
