NEW ORLEANS - Four days after Hurricane Katrina blasted through, corpses continued to rot along sidewalks and thousands remained stranded -- crying for food, water and a way out of this devastated city.
A relief convoy was seen heading into the city and thousands more National Guardsmen were promised, but at the city's convention center, where 15,000 to 20,000 people were languishing in squalor, there was still no significant relief by midday.

NEW ORLEANS - Four days after Hurricane Katrina struck, the National Guard arrived in force
Friday with food, water and weapons -- rolling through the floodwaters in a vast truck convoy with orders to retake the streets and bring relief to the suffering.
The trucks began arriving at the New Orleans Convention Center, where 15,000 to 20,000 hungry and desperate refugees had taken shelter.
Amazing how much sunnier everything is after just 10 minutes, and all the corpses were cleaned up quickly too!
