I would like to thank our Wellington Webb, the former mayor of Denver, Vice Chair of the DNC, and a great voice in Colorado and in national Democratic politics.
It is truly unfortunate that Webb did not get more attention in the DNC race than he did. I am strongly for Dean, but I would have liked to see a race with Webb near the finish. Wellington Webb is one of the few folks who really "get it," and would have been a charismatic and bold face for our Party.
Webb was an early and avid backer of Howard Dean in the Presidential race. During the DNC run, he worked very hard to get his message across, but when it became clear he could not win,
threw his support to Governor Dean. Getting everyone on board with the eventual winner is as important as anything, and Webb's endorsement should mean that all seven Colorado DNC voters--himself included--are now free to vote for Dean.
Wellington Webb will still be part of the DNC, and hopefully will continue to play a powerful role in our Party. If you agree, please send him a short letter of thanks:

Or even better, thank him and Colorado Party chair Chris Gates by making a donation to the Colorado Democratic Party.
