The House That Tom Built is beginning to fall....!
Todd Baxter, representative to the Texas House from Travis County and one of the seven candidates to benefit from Tom DeLay and TRMPAC's laundered funds back in 2002, has just announced that he will be resigning from the Texas House soon.

Baxter first won election to the House in 2002 and won re-election last year by fewer than 200 votes. He has been attacked by Democrats for taking money in 2002 from Texans for a Republican Majority, formed by U.S. Rep. Tom DeLay, and from the Texas Association of Business, which, like DeLay, is under indictment for its involvement in the 2002 elections.
Baxter was elected in 2002 in a nasty fight with the incumbant Democratic freshman, Ann Kitchen. I remember getting the so-called "issue ad" mailers from the Texas Association of Business. They were clearly attack ads and are the subject of a civil lawsuit now too.
It is good to finally see the DeLay house of cards beginning to tumble. May this be the first of MANY Republican resignations to come!
