After following link from another diary (my apologies, but I don't remember whose)I came across
this
transcript of an interview Maureen Dowd had on Booknotes, CSPAN's show where authors pimp their books.
Most of it consists of Dowd dropping names, and at one point she says this about Scooter Libby
I have run into him at White House correspondents dinners, and he has a very sort of James Bond air about him. He can do 10 tequila shooters (ph) and show no effect of the alcohol.
First of all, what the hell is anyone doing drinking like that (although it may explain a lot about White House policies)? I admit to doing it in college, but now, even at weddings where the booze is free, I wouldn't think about trying that stunt.
Second, this interview was conducted in August 2004 and presumably Dowd was refering to a more pleasant period than Scooter is now experiencing.
Which got me to thinking, if pressure can drive one to drink, how much is Scooter drinking on the eve of Fitzmas?
