I've been thinking about the people who have put their necks on the line and have said the emperor has no cloths. Richard Clarke,Wilson, Plame and many other whistleblowers. They are taking huge hits from this administration and because they are, for the most part, Washington insiders they know how bad and unethical this administration is when discrediting a critic. It takes even more guts when you know you're going to be lied about and ruthlessly attacked. They fit into the same category as Thomas Paine, Ethan Allen, Rachel Carson - the list goes on and on. So who is your favorite American hero past and present?
I think Valerie Plame is an undersung hero. She no doubt knew that the flashback from her husbands article would be rough. My favorite historical hero was Toams Paine because he was such an idealist.
