Will Bunch of the Philadelphia Daily News has a good piece on why Bill Keller of the NY Times has seemed so conflicted in his response to Judith Miller. Here is the url: http:/www.pnionline.com/dnblog/attytood/ Bunch argues that as Scooter Libby was to Miller, so Paul Wolfowitz was to Bill Keller. Keller wrote a long admiring piece about Wolfowitz in 2002 or 2003 and apparently was favored with plenty of confidential whispers by Wolfowitz. Bunch points out that Keller was treating the neocons with kidgloves at the same time as others were begining to uncover the first layer of lies in mid 2003. Bunch calls for Keller's resignation. The Times is still being beaten on the CIA leak case by the WP. If we had the WPost's reporters and the Times colunists we would have one first rate newspaper.
