The *One Thing* that I, an atheist, want religious people to know:

If you can prove the existence of any god, I'll be the first guy in line to sign up for your religion.

Look - I, like most other atheists, are just living under the operating theory that there is/are no god/gods.  All that means (IMHO) is that we think it's such an immensely unlikely proposition that we don't utilize such in making our daily calculus, be it the mundane or the compelling.

That's it.  Nothing else.

Doesn't mean we're not spiritual.

Doesn't mean we're not moral.

Doesn't mean we're our own "religion" (by definition, a religion requires the belief in a deity or a supernatural being).
