Michael Scherer over at
Salon found this
gem, quoting Republican Robert Scanlan (aka Tom DeLay's crony and Abromoff's co-conspirator)
The wackos get their information through the Christian right, Christian radio, mail, the internet and telephone trees...Simply put, we want to bring out the wackos to vote..."
Al Franken read that Tuesday, and mentioned you can go here to find five humongous PDF files you can download and hunt through for more Scanlan and Abromoff "diamonds" of your own.
QUESTION: Where else can a person do some "daimond hunting" seated at one's PC?
Also:
- Any other "diamond hunting" tips?
- Franken mentioned that every so often they seem to plop down another PDF file at the site, so maybe check back.
P.S.
Tags. I tried to find the right tag to cover "
sniffing stuff out on the web." I used "muckraking", "investigative reporting" but they don't connote the web, nor the do-it-yourself, aspect. Is there a term for this?
