It was bad enough to see that Rep. Barton has managed to get himself into the news once again...this has been a weekly event since Dave started openly talking about running for office, but now he wants us to believe that he is interested in knowing if citizens are having "concerns" with a federal government agency. We only see Joe here once a year for a town hall meeting that he packs with supporters to call on and now he is suddenly making an appearance any time he can.
Published in the Corsicana Daily Sun:
"Congressman Joe Barton's field representative Brian Chapman will be at the Corsicana Government Center Conference Room, 200 N. 12th St., from 11 a.m. to noon the fourth Thursday of each month to assist anyone having concerns with a federal government agency. No appointment will be necessary to meet with him. For more information, call Chapman at (972) 875-8488."
Whether you are in the district or not, please consider calling and giving the "Field Representative" that, for years in this district, we have never heard of and tell him what issues YOU have with a federal government agency. Since Barton is on a roll trying to disband Medicare and Medicaid, refused to agree on helping Katrina victims and now is more worried about the "fiscal responsibility" behind decisions to plan an avian flu approach that the actual patients that would be involved, I think there are a number of things we would like to see Brian take back to Joe on behalf of the America he is intent on selling to the highest oil company bidder... Joe has a clear record of attacking healthcare programs and initiatives, so please consider the opportunity to provide feedback directly to a Representative...:)
If you call, please post your question and the response you get from Field Rep number one, Brian Chapman, (972) 875-8488.
