Here is a
chart of every race in which SUSA polled, and every poll on those races, for the 2005 cycle, courtesy of SurveyUSA. I like this, since SUSA bares it all for everyone to see, the good, the bad, the ugly (like the Detroit mayor's race, which everyone mangled badly).
Dan Weitrab has a chart from SUSA comparing it to other pollsters in the California ballot races:
PROPS 73-77 ONLY
POLLSTER AVG. ERROR
Field 3.36
SurveyUSA 5.32
PPIC 5.76
Stanford/KN 5.96
Polimetrix 6.24
LA Times 7.44
BY ALL PROPS POLLED
NO. POLLSTER ERROR
5 SurveyUSA 5.32
8 Field 6.05
7 Polimetrix 7.20
8 LA Times 7.85
8 Stanford/KN 8.80
7 PPIC 9.57
So Field took the price of best scores for the Arnold initiatives (74-77). SUSA wins top slot on the second category (all props polled), but note that they only polled five of the initiatives, while the others polled six or seven.
As for the two biggest races of the night, SUSA had the best numbers in Virginia, while that Monmouth poll wins the prize in New Jersey.
