I've been giving some thought over the last few days about
MESSAGE. Short, pithy, with an emotional impact-- the kind of things the Repug noise machine has been so good at. Billboards came to mind when someone posted a picture of a scurrilous billboard using Mean Jean's comment about Murtha. It pissed me off.
This morning I slapped together a possible billboard message, some derivative of which I think might be effective-- particularly in regions where jobs have been lost in quantity over the last 5 years. I'm focusing on the economy with this one:
Faces of really rich people (preferably but not necessarily Republicans) that are familiar to the general public but who don't have a universal positive appeal. The message?
They got 5 tax cuts
You got the shaft
Vote Democrat
The Party of the People
Please click here to see the image (it's too big to post here), and let's knock around a few ideas for more.
Remember that the message has to be short and have enough impact that people driving by can catch it all in a few seconds and will remember it. (Remember also that I put this image together in about 20 minutes, so it isn't exactly professional quality... Whose faces do YOU think should be on it?)
What do you think? Improve on it.
