Do you share your life with a furry four-legged friend, or feathered, scaly, or finned one? Tell us about them.
(more below the fold)
I used to be a cat person, perhaps because I was mauled by a pack of dogs at age 6 and nearly was kiiled by them. For yrears, the first thing I did when I saw a dog was look around for a rock or stick to use on them. But when I was in grad school I had a friend who had a pack of six dogs that gradually I got used to and eventually dog sat for them many times. Then my girl friend and I started living to together and when we broke up she got my cat, and I got her cocker spaniel, Shiney.
Shiney was a real sweetie! When I lived in Providence, RI I lived across the street from Tiny Tim, who loved Shiney and when we met on the street he used to sing to her! Shiney loved Tiny Tim!
Now I have seven dogs and do dog rescue work out here in the rural Georgia where people throw away dogs like empty beer cans.
I am guardian to four Kuvasz (Kodi, Aja, Raja, and Abba), two Lab mixes (Luckie, and Dr. J) and a Chihuahua named Little Bit...and they are a handful! Let me tell you!
So, post your pets! If you need to learn how to post a pix, go to the Daily Kos FAQ and it will show you how to post pix.

ps: Just as I finished this diary, Abba, Aja, and Doc came in to see what I was doing. They seem to know when I am talking about them!
