Spying - The suprising way it played on a southern forum.

First, a little background. I am a loudmouth liberal on a web forum that tends to be fairly conservative. Most of the folks are from Alabama, with some from other places around the country, but predominately the south. As soon as this issue came up, I posted a poll on that forum asking first off, do you support the fourth amendment. No background information, just the poll. Once there were a good number of responses, I initiated the conversation about the warrantless wire taps. I was surprised to find that, among rank and file HONEST conservatives, I had many allies on this arguement. There were a few rabid neocons, and I got the typical personal threats and crap I often get on this forum, but please check this out - I was surprised and impressed by the results. There are 2 threads in the General/Off Topic sections of this site related to this, and a couple related to intelligent design.
