Congressional State of Union Walk-Out
Then Impeachment and Purging the DINOS
With Bush's unabashed revelation that he ok'd domestic telephone wiretaps without a warrant, doesn't it seem that former Nixon White House Counsel John Dean's assertion that the Bush administration is, as his book title states, "Worse Than Watergate."
Senator Boxer served on a panel with Dean the other day. Now she has serious impeachment questions on behalf of the citizenry.

But Dean has raised some these questions before, the unauthorized wiretaps are new.
For starters see page 136 of Worse Than Watergate entitled Misleading The American People and for the nitty gritty see the details after page 140 entitled Deceiving Congress -- An Impeachable Offense.
And where are those weapons of mass destruction ... oops!
If you are concerned about national security how many of the hijackers that did attack us on 9/11 came from Iraq. Yet Bush, Cheney, Rice & Co. lied consistently into taking us into that war. Bush even ignored the advice of many of the generals including, Odom, Zinni and Scrowcroft (all the more notable because he was poppy's national security advisor) not to invade Iraq.
And are we safer ... how about the recent legislative elections in Iraq giving victories to Shiites aligned with Iran and the revelations that torture continues under the current Iraqi regime as stated by no less than Bush favorite the former interim Prime Minister Allawi.
But Bush doesn't think criticism is patriotic. I guess the Pope and the Dalai Lama who also warned Bush along with the aforementioned generals must be unpatriotic.
And to heck with the 4th Amendment! Haven't we learned: Bush, Gonzales, John Yoo et al are the Constitution. Silly us!
As Mark Shields of the Washington Post said recently, the American people are getting tired when Bush says trust me. Maybe that's because we know him for the messed up human being he is, see "Bush on the Couch" by Justin Frank, clinical psychiatrist at the George Washington University Medical Center.
So in order to protest both the lies of Bush, Cheney, Rice & Co. and their trashing of Constitutional rights how about if concerned Dems (and maybe some outspoken Republicans like Ron Paul) simply walk out right after Bush opens his mouth in the State of the Union -- is there any respect in this country left for the civil protest when we marched with the likes of Harry Bridges, Dr. King, Rosa Parks, Eugene McCarthy, Paul Wellstone, Robert Kenndy and Cesar Chavez.
Then when the Dems win Congress, it's on to impeachment and finally for the next presidential election the Dems purge those with records who are really Republican lites -- Lieberman, Clinton and Biden among others. Look at their votes such as Feingold's to confirm Roberts as chief justice (Roberts protested letting kids of illegal immigrants be educated in the public schools in a letter to Reagan's Attorney General saying if they had only worked harder they could have won Plyler v Doe which raised that question in the Supreme Court); look at the vote on the bankruptcy bill and so forth.
Move on to true social and economic justice for all Americans, not just those in a Bush league! And congrats to Barbara Boxer for making the "Dean's" list ... maybe she should be on the short list of Presidential contenders in 2008 as she represents her constituents in promoting real American values.
