Ohio Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell "delivered" (
http://www.votecobb.org/newsclips/2005/jan/news2005-01-08.php) Ohio to the Bush-Cheney ticket through a series of widely-denounced actions, and even met with Bush on election day in a meeting whose agenda has never been released.
On Feb 9, he had a chance to show that he was honestly concerned about Ohio voters when he was invited to speak before the House Administration Committee. They had convened a hearing on the Help America Vote Act that featured election officials from several states.
Instead, Blackwell refused to show up, and was denounced by Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones, the courageous former judge and Ohio Congresswoman who signed the January 6 challenge to Ohio's Electoral College votes (and, by the way, why aren't we sending any roses to Rep. Tubbs Jones, when Sen. Boxer is slated to receive 5000 red roses today for her valor?).
