Blasts Target Iraq's Shia MuslimsA string of suicide bombs and attacks against mainly Shia Muslim targets have killed at least 29 people in Iraq.
Friday's violence flared a day after Shia parties were confirmed to have won a slim majority in Iraq's new transitional parliament following January's election.
Togo President Agrees to Election
Togolese President Faure Gnassingbe has bowed to pressure from West African neighbours, declaring that presidential elections will be held in 60 days.
Mr Faure was installed with army help earlier this month after the death of the president, his father.
He had previously said he would serve out his father's term until 2008.
But regional leaders had threatened sanctions if Mr Faure failed to restore the country's original constitution, which stipulates prompt elections.
Germany Cuts Kenya Anti-Graft Aid
Germany has joined the US in suspending funding for Kenya's increasingly discredited anti-corruption programme.
Germany's decision comes after the resignations of at least four members of Kenya's National Anti-Corruption Campaign steering committee.

Russia Backs Iran in Nuclear Row
Russian President Vladimir Putin says recent moves by Iran have convinced him it is not trying to build nuclear arms.
He said Moscow would continue working with Tehran in all fields, including nuclear power, adding that he had accepted an invitation to Iran.
His comments came at a meeting in Moscow with chief Iranian nuclear negotiator Hassan Rowhani.
Moscow is helping Iran build a nuclear reactor - a project which has been heavily criticised by the US.
