HOMO! HOMO! HOMO!
Just some questions about where my diaries went.
With the added attention from The Daily Show and CNN, I was thinking about posting links to my old research now that somebody is finally paying attention.
However, when I went to my diary page, all my old diaries are gone, and the ones I still had links for were uneditable.
So, here are my questions:
- Where do old diaries go? I know they still exist, since the ones I still have on my hotlist are still accessible. However, some of my old diaries that are not on my hotlist I can't get to.
- Why can't I edit them?
- Why can't new comments be made? Does it save that much bandwidth on old pages nobody reads anymore to remove that link?
- Unlike others, I suppose, I for one still like to read my old writing. Is there some reason that the writer themselves no longer can have access?
For example, as some people
may remember, I have been following the Margaret Hassan/Nick Berg fake videos, and post updates. Some of those links are pretty obscure, such as the announcement of the funeral home where Nick Berg's body was shown to his family. If a development does occur, that link will probably be almost impossible to find.
I guess I should say why this is a diary rather than an email or an open-thread comment.
Hopefully, people can give their views on why old diaries should or should not be saved, and maybe start a discussion with the admin. Also, new members can get a little more advice about diary ettiquette (as I see the faq has not been updated.)
