A measure was passed today in Kansas to allow further discrimination against gays. Their marriage discrimination amendment will be put on the ballot for voters in April. The measure needed a two-thirds majority, or 83 votes, from the 124 House members present. The vote was 86-37. Of the 42 Democrats, 18 voted "yes" and 24 voted "no." It would have taken just four Democrats to kill the measure.
When will the Democratic Party take a stand on these issues?
