wow. i found so many things MAD frusturating in Bush's speech i dont know where to begin.
-he began by claiming to have created 2.3 million new jobs last year. yet he failed to mention that the majority of the jobs he created are minimum wadge jobs of which a primary supporter of a family would have to take 3 just to stay above the poverty line.
-bush went on to call the economy flexable and strong. ha. how can the economy be strong when the stock market is still majorly down from where it was before he took office?
-bush said he wants alternative fuel sorces. he specifically mentioned clean coal. clean coal is one of the biggest oxymorons there is. clean coal uses (gasp) -oil- to be refined into clean coal, so essentially we'd be using the oil anyways. same with ethanol. ethanol uses oil to become ethanol in some crazy scientific way that i'm not even gonna try to understand but kids thats how they do it. so either way we're using the oil anyways so why dont we use it in our cars?
---MORE AFTER THESE SHORT MESSAGES---
------and we're back-------
-bush wants to reform the social security system, because -gasp- people live longer now. what a shocker. i think social security must be reformed bipartisanly (<--i think that's a word--if not, go with it) but i dont feel it should or can be done by a president who's proven to be fiscally responcible by taking our country from a huge buget surplus into the largest deficit we've ever had to deal with.
-bush came out in support of the gay marrage amendment. what a bastard. he says he wants to protect marrage. why doesnt he do so by trying to stop divorces. frankly i dont even think the government should have any place in marrage whatsoever. marrage should be a religous thing not a state. the government has no place in telling people who they can and cant love. (lianna c. mah dear...whats i just wrote is for you and ashleigh...best of luck you two ;) xoxo)
-bush claims to have made iraq safer, and therefore ensuring the saftey of america. he also said that the united states has no right to impose democracy on unwilling or unreceptive nations. well then can somebody please explain what we did in iraq to me. if iraq was/is receptive to democracy then wow i'm either blind or stupid.
-bush mentioned the terroristic regimes of syria, lebanon and iran. maybe he's planning another iraq. maybe someone should drop him the memo that we're still not done in iraq and afganistan and we need to finish one project before we go onto another.
--all in all--
BUSH IS AN IDIOT AND IS GOING TO KILL US ALL!!!
