The L.A. Times asks,
Off to a Running Start, How Far Can GOP Go?. Good question.
The open question is whether their achievements so far mark just the start of what the GOP majority can achieve -- or whether their efforts will soon run out of steam.
Chris Bowers just posted Five Easy Pieces that chronicles the successful Bush/Rove strategy.
I'm trying to figure out if Dems are going to be able to stop Bush from doing essentially everything he wants to do. It looks like they might be able to stop Bush on Social Security, but there's no reason for a triumphant Bush to stop throwing the dice while he's on a roll now, is there?

I added this list of the

Did I miss anyone? That's twenty-three Democrats who Bush can reliably count on to provide the half-dozen votes necessary to pass virtually any legislation on Karl Rove's wish list.
While we're considering stupid questions, can somebody explain to me why David Broder told Tim Russert that Democrats were worried about being perceived as obstructionists? Let's see:
- Iraq
- Tort Reform
- Bankruptcy
- No Child Left Behind
- The Patriot Act
- ANWR
- More Judicial appointments than any first term President
- Clear Skies
- Healthy Forests
- Medicare Prescription Drugs
- Tax cuts
- Inheritance tax repeal
- Dividend tax reduction
Those were just off the top of my head. Did I miss some of Bush's successes that could never have happened without the DLC Faux Republican Corporate Scumbags Du Jour?
Would somebody like to explain to me again why Ralph Nader was wrong about there not being any difference between the Republican party and the Democratic party? I'm having trouble remembering what the Democratic party stands for.
I would re-phrase the original question somewhat. Is there any hope of stopping Bush on anything except perhaps Social Security and a few judicial appointments?
