The "pro-life" movement is aggressive about defending the rights of the unborn and the brain dead (i.e., those who don't know they're alive, and wouldn't miss life if gone), but are curiously unconcerned about putting at risk the lives of those living breaking fully alive adults or children who may accidentially wander onto
the wrong front porch on a lazy summer's day:
The Florida state Legislature is considering a "shoot first, ask questions later" law.
The potential Florida law would extend people's right to defend themselves not only in their homes but on their porches, in the street or in the car without fear of being charged criminally or civilly.
A fully loaded glock on a hair trigger in every pocket, that's the pro-life vision.
I think it's time we stopped calling these people "pro-life," and started calling them by a more appropriate name: hypocrites!
