In Minnesota, a state house committee just passed a bill "that would require judges and abortion providers to report to the state the number of minors who had abortions and the number who gained a judicial bypass to undergo the procedure without parental notification ... Under the bill, abortion providers also would be required to report the age, race and county of residence of all minors undergoing abortions. The measure also would require courts to report the number of minors seeking judicial bypass to avoid parental notification and how many were granted or denied bypass of the notification statute. According to the measure, the state then would publish the data on a county-by-county basis."
