I received the following action alert today from the Chamber of Commerce on Association Health Plans:
More than 45 million Americans are uninsured, with nearly 60% of those employed by small businesses. To make health care more affordable and accessible for small businesses, the Senate must pass Association Health Plan (AHP) legislation. The House has passed this bill seven times; the Senate never has.
EVERY Senator needs to hear from their constituents. Urge your Senators to cosponsor AHP legislation today!
I am a business manager in Connecticut, and I currently pay over 5K a month in insurance premiums for 6 employees, of which I cover 80%. So anything that can reduce my bill is great.
But since the house has passed this 7 times, and the senate not at all, something smells fishy.....
Anyone have any information on this bill and association health plans? Should I call my senators to sway them one way or the other?
