For all of the talk about Bush and his neocons that goes on every day all over the Internet and in Washington DC, why are they continually allowed to get away with all of their crimes? Why are they being allowed to kill our children? Where is the outrage?
What has changed about the American people that they would allow leaders who lie, steal, cheat, and kill, to simply get away with it by slapping them on the wrist? Is it fear? Or is that the majority of people in this country have simply slipped into the same immoral abyss as those who have hijacked our government? In a press conference I remember from a couple of months ago, the arrogant Emperor Bush managed to once again talk around torture, murder, and graft. He said they won't be hiring columnists anymore and pay them to hawk their agenda. (That's only because they were caught.) This after Armstrong Williams admitted that the Dept. of Education had paid him to tout their, "no child left behind act." A reporter asked him what would be done to those in the Dept. of Education who "made a mistake" as Bush put it, but he didn't tell us anything specific on that, and he said the White House knew nothing about it happening. Yes, sure. They never know, do they?
Just like they didn't know about ENRON. Just like Bush didn't know Ken Lay. Just like they had a brief in 2001 that told them Bin Laden was intent on attacking us, and they ignored it... Now the Bush loyalist who is complicit in the deaths of 3000+ citizens on 9.11 is our Secretary of State. That in and of itself speaks volumes about how much they aren't doing their job in the White House, but yet, people voted for them. What does that also say then about the people voting for them? I know that if Al Gore had been in the White House when 9.11 happened regardless of the circumstances, he would have been on the spit for it the next day with the same people who yet would allow Bush to get away with any responsibility for it. For him it is always, awwww, just slap his wrist. He didn't mean to kill all those people... He won't do it again...
It is actually mindboggling to also see the lengths Bush will go to actually escape responsibility for anything. It's like catching a serial killer who promises he won't kill again, so you let him go. That's what he expects, and astroundingly, sadly, and frighteningly, that is exactly what is happening. It must be part of his, "born again" Christian mentality. He thinks if he commits a crime, all he has to do is say I won't do it again and " I am saved!" as if that absolves him for the sins he committed, and puts him above the law... Like getting our children killed in Iraq, which BTW, he showed no remorse about in this press conference or in any appearance. As a matter of fact, he was downright upset that he even had to speak of it. In his usual arrogant don't bother me about bodybags tone, he stated that they cherish life, but this is just something the American people will have to accept (because damn it, I AM SPARTACUS.) Tell that to all the family members whose children you aborted. Remember, to these neocons, it is only "collateral damage," and any loss of life is just meant to be in their grand scheme to reshape the world in their image, because afterall, God tells them to do all of this, doncha know?
He also hasn't told us anything specific about his plans to dismantle Social Security (which is going over like a lead balloon), nor has he mentioned any type of withdrawal plans for the troops in Iraq. All he does is keep repeating the same BS lines over and over again, ( mentioning the math proves Social Security will be bankrupt, but also can't quote any of those numbers) and of course, he says the word, "freedom" as much as possible, while obfuscating and showing that he clearly is lost without his index cards and earpiece.
To any adult with two brain cells to rub together, he looks like the total corporate puppet he is. But to a Bush supporter, he is this Godly, moral, compassionate soul who kills because he says it is being done to bring us peace, and advocates torture and civil liberties erosion because we are fighting a "war of terror" against "evildoers" that we never ever see on our TV screens. Don't these stupid people ever wonder that if Bush knows what this elusive Zarquawi(sp?) is saying, they should know where he is? They blew all of Iraq to hell and still can't find him? Just like they blew Afghanistan all to hell but can't find Bin Laden? HELLO! They will not find any of their, "Goldsteins" until it is politically expedient for them to do so.
Look at the case of Saddam Hussein. Here he is, this man "worse than Hitler", but yet, he has been captured for over a year and still to see trial. He sits in a cell getting free medical care, eating muffins, gardening, and writing. This is the punishment he now gets for being the "butcher of Baghdad?" God, how stupid Bush supporters are, and Bush and his cohorts are counting on that. Don't these stupid people realize that if you privitize Social Security you will then have to borrow the money to keep it solvent, which will increase our deficits? Don't these stupid people know that if you continue to attack countries that are not threatening you, you will ultimately make more enemies than you can handle and will then have to spend more money to keep then at bey, thus putting our economy on the chopping block?
Bush also said in this conference that he was willing to work with Congress on his budget. He wants Congress to curb spending... We all know what that led to. CUTTING programs that actually help the poor like Medicare, and BLOATING defense spending so his defense contractor pals can get fatter. And let's face it people, he does not want to work with anyone who even remotely doesn't kiss his a$$. Just look at the shakeup and purge being done at the CIA by Goss. Just look at Bush's appointees. Not one person he has appointed for any position is someone who is not totally loyal to him over their country. Wake up and smell the coffee, America. You've been had.
I used to ask what it would take for people to wake up, but I know the answer to that question now. It will take Bush implementing his plans fully. It will have to be, that the 58 million hypnotized Americans who voted for Bush will have to feel the effects of his agenda personally. This isn't the case yet, as I suspect many of them are rich elitists who think, "let them eat cake," and think poor peoples' kids should have to fight in their wars to get their stock portfolios rolling. But just wait. Should the dollar continue to devalue, and other countries like China, India, and Japan become stronger financially, and countries in Europe due to the isolationist attitude of these neocons start buying in euros exclusively, the panic will come. The ripple effects are just now starting to be felt. And all I can say to that is, bring it on. You've all been slapping the crooks on the wrist for far too long now. It's time you all reaped what you sowed.
