I just read on
CNN that Congress approved an amendment Wednesday to extend daylight-saving time by two months. They want to extend it to the last Sunday of November, less than a month from the shortest day of the year. Take it from me up here in Minnesota, by the end of November, there's no daylight to save. Apparently, the extension will save 10,000 barrels of oil a day. However, we currently consume 20 million barrels a day. But I guess if we can save one half of one thousandth of our daily consumption, it's worth making kids go to school in the dark.
