I thought I could squeeze a shameless plug for my brother's baseball blog into a dKos diary because it's a blog of his season with a group of 9 and 10 year old kids in a not so well off neighborhood. Seems like lots of liberals talk about helping each other out, but lots of us just write some checks and rant to the choir. My brother's got an hours-intensive job as a consultant but is finding the time to go to a couple games a week, sort through the lineup making and dealing with parents and all that stuff, trying to help a few kids learn to play. Plus it's fun to coach a baseball team, and the neighborhood sounds awesome! Games are a community event! The link is:
Can I Pitch?
Any baseball types with advice, drills, or comments are particularly encourage to click through. He currently has a request out for new (FUN!) drills to do with a single coach and 14-16 players, so he can have a bit of time for individual instruction with some of the kids. He just made it unrestricted so you don't have to register or anything to comment. Let him know I sent you :)
Thanks!
