I don't know for sure. But that ABC News report detailing how Bolton
tried to use George Tenet shows a suspicious pattern that leads to the Plame outing.
John R. Bolton planned to ask then-CIA Director George Tenet to help punish a government intelligence analyst who disagreed with Bolton, and then misled a Senate committee about the matter, says a Democratic draft report obtained by The Associated Press.
Bolton pushed for months to have the analyst removed from his job or otherwise disciplined, but testified under oath at his confirmation hearing to be United Nations ambassador that he "made no effort to have discipline imposed" on the man, the report said.
Let's see. Intelligence analyst does something to prove that there weren't WMD's in Iraq - by going to Niger and filing an report essenitally debunking the fact that Saddam wanted uranium from Niger. In a fit of rage, to "punish" him, Bolton gets Gannon, Novak, and a third reporter and tells them about Valerie Plame. (Was there a meeting?)
Next day, Novak's outing CIA agents in his column.
The theory is perfect. Fits the M.O. - it shows how he handled people who disagreed with him on WMD - it fits. Now, all we need is the documentaion.
