I warn you now,
he shall reign as he has risen. The Pope who joined Hilter's military to save his own skin will demand from others conformity to his will. There are times for compromise, and there are honourable enemies. And there are tyrants - who can
accept no dissent.
This pope has already interfered in American politcis, and shall do so again. He is the pope of war, and the bringer of death, since he will back the bringers of war and death so long as they support his agenda of enslavement of spirit.
These days are the darkest for faith since the years when the Bishop of Rome turned a blind eye to massacre, pogrom and slaughter. This pope, his hands filled with blood for supporting the butcher of Berlin now turns a blind eye to butchery in Baghdad so long as it advances his aims.
As Dante populated his hell with popes, so would he add this one in some modern canto of the Inferno.
I came upon a bank and there I saw
scattered twisted arms and legs
twitching, ripped off in a vast lizard's maw.
And there were heads that blinked and cried
screaming in the smear of blood that boiled
each repeating without measure how he lied
And there was one who in five languages roiled
how the swastika was merely a cross in guise,
Under its safe haven he had toiled.
But woe betide to those who were wise
enough to stand against his earthly command
their truth submerged beneath his lies.
And so I turned to my guide to understand
who would hail an earthly devil and then
ascend to the throne of heavan's gate upon the land.
"There is one who ruled as he had risen,"
The ancient poet smiled as he spoke
"who willed that the Church of Rome become a prison."
"Can you tell me who he is, I hope?"
With grim surmise and tight lipped reply
came short breathed words: "He is the Nazi Pope"
And so I leaned down to the edge of the abyss
and looked the eye that out of one socket hung,
"Why have you come to this?"
With slurred speech half spoken and half sung
"I was born into the civilized and humane state,"
He halted and choked on swollen tongue,
"It was destined for glory but then too late.
My father opposed its place in the sun,
and told me that peril was its fate."
"But within its grasp I listened and then learned,
of the power that over comes love with hate,
how underneath all veneers a passion burned."
"And so I rose through the papal ranks
bowing before each power in turn
ever giving effusive thanks."
"Until at last I held power by its shanks,
and freed from any earthly pause
The river of my greed o'erflowed its banks."
"To elevated I protected he who tolerated soddom's laws,
to protect the flow of faithful tithes,
treating abyssmal crimes as mere human flaws."
"And backed an earthly prince of war and lies,
whose deceits have earned him his own place
far nearer that dread lord of swarming flies."
Then from above a raven clawed upon his face
As if to punctuate the slurs of his speech,
this humbled member of once master race.
"Here the dismembered are in this mass grave,
Who broke that law of eternal grace,
that they lived as they others forbade."
