It took about a nanosecond for the wingers and the MSM to start framing Deep Throat as an unpatriotic, disloyal "snake," as Pat Buchanan the Nixonite called him. Tweety immediately steered the charge toward possibilities of deception and fabrication by Woodstein, and Felt's ulterior sour grapes motives.
As usual, the Dems are a day late and a dollar short in the framing game. We need to be out there reviving our long national nightmare, starting with pointing out that Karl Rove, Bush's Brain and the "architect of Bush's victory," is a creature forged in Daniel Segretti's Dirty Tricks laboratory, and heir to Segretti's title of King of the Black-Bag Ops:

And every time Pat Buchanan is out there bad-mouthing Felt, somebody ought to be asking him about his own participation or knowledge of those Watergate-style dirty tricks operations, like the one Nixon ordered against Vietnam Vet Against the War John Kerry. (Somewhere in the past I've heard a tape of Nixon and Pat talking about the need to take out Kerry).
Who knows-- maybe that Nixon campaign against Kerry was where Rove, holding Segretti's black bag, made his unholy alliance with the future swiftboaters that served him, and his evil master, so well in the last election.
We need to skim through John Dean's "Worse Than Watergate" and start setting the frame around Rove and Bushco.
And remind everyone that on Iraq, we still don't have an answer to the question "What did the president know, and when did he know it?"
