Just saw this posted over Common Cause's
CommonBlog. Looks like folks at RNCC are starting to get pretty nervous about all the grassroots efforts going on Tom DeLay, which is great. I am posting Murshed (from Common Cause) entire post from
CommonBlog right after the jump. Check it out.
Sorry if I am breaking any rules by posting a short intro. post. -LA
Just got this. Apparently the folks at the National Republican Congressional Committee are taking note the of 2,400 MoveOn PAC volunteers effort to deliver 470,000 petitions to 195 GOP House members today in their district offices calling for Tom DeLay to be fired. Here is an email Carl Forti, the Communications Director for RNCC sent out to all GOP Chiefs of Staff and Press Secretaries yesterday:

All GOP Chiefs of Staff and Press Secretaries:
It has come to our attention that MoveOn.org is dropping off petitions to district offices today.
We are doing a quick survey to determine if your office DID or DID NOT have a petition dropped off. And if you did, how many signatures it contained.
It would be greatly appreciated if you could take a quick moment and reply to this email with the following information:
Member Name: ____________
DID or DID NOT have a petition dropped off
Petition contained ___ names.
Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Again, we are just messanger over here. Just wanted to pass this along, because it is pretty interesting. It shows how folks over at the Hill are taking note of the grassroots message on Tom DeLay. We are sure they are also hearing our flood of phone calls for an an
independent, outside counsel who can conduct a credible investigation into DeLay's ethics mess. Let's
keep up the pressure.
