Iraq calls for US Withdraw

Iraqi lawmakers from across the political spectrum called for the withdrawal of foreign forces from their country in a letter released to the media June 19.

Eighty-two Shiite, Kurdish, Sunni Arab, Christian and communist deputies made the call in a letter sent by Falah Hassan Shanshal of the United Iraqi Alliance (UIA), the largest group in parliament, to speaker Hajem al-Hassani.

DefenseNews is the only western source, with Islam Online and Journal of Turkish Weekly being the only other hits on Google News.

If this story is true, it would have huge repercussions.  With this hitting the same time as Congress asking for troop withdraws and the general low public opinion of the war now, why would we as a nation have any prerogative to stay?
I guess the question is wether the neocons see it as "Victory!" if we are asked to leave...

I'd like to dig up more on this, but I am unfortunately at work and already wasted too much time on dKos this morning.
