In today's Armed Services committee meeting Sen. Kendey once again asked Donald Rumsfield to resign his position as the Secretary of Defence.
Now we all no the outrage that must have been expressed by Rumfield over questioning his authority or his ability to perform. Right, well...

CNN:
Citing what he called repeated "gross errors and mistakes" in the U.S. military campaign in Iraq, Kennedy told Rumsfeld: "In baseball, it's three strikes, you're out. What is it for the secretary of defense?"
"Isn't it time for you to resign?" Kennedy asked.
"I've offered my resignation to the president twice," Rumsfeld shot back, saying that President Bush had decided not to accept it. "That's his call," he said.
Calling for Rummy to step down is old news, but for Bush to keep this guy on is approaching endentured servitude. He expressed his desire to leave twice, and Bush refused to let him.
It's become more and more clear that he does not get the information he needs to prepare for press conferences or congressional hearings from his subordinates. He is constantly forced to admit that he doesn't keep up with current affairs, and no one on his staff ever tells him what is going on in parts of the world located outside of his office. (i.e. the AbuGrad memos, the Armor for the troops, et. al.)
Let this poor old man go. Perhaps "FREE RUMMY" t-shirts could get the message out.
